Obituary in Tacoma News Tribune
Barbara Ubben, 77, daughter of Mary and William McCoy, was born in Ashland, Ohio on October 22, 1934 and went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2012. Barbara is survived by her husband Lawrence of 53 years, two step sons, Charles Ubben of Tacoma, WA and Kenneth Ubben of Kotzebue, AK; two sons, John Ubben of Tumwater, WA and Dale Ubben of Gig Harbor, WA; and a daughter, Marina Myers of Vaughn, WA. Barbara has fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Barb worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship and ministered to children for many years. Barbara's favorite activities were quilting, gardening, cooking, and golfing. We will miss her very much but we know she is in a far better place with Jesus. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on September 8th, 2012 at Lighthouse Christian School in Gig Harbor.
